The band’s poignant lyrics and structured rhythms create an urban rock sound with dark pop overtones, inspired by the likes of Oasis, The Killers, Michael Jackson and U2.

Crystal Kid was born from the collective songwriting skills of brothers Frank and Charles Torrealba. After years of songwriting and playing locally they released their debut E.P in 2008.

Crystal Kid’s self-titled E.P was produced by Daron Schofield, and Engineered by Josh Rob Gwilliam.

After much local and regional success, the band also topped the Alternative Charts on Purevolume.com and was ranked the 2nd most downloaded band on the website in early January of 2009. Their sound has been described as "strong and the performances energetic and engaging – Wildy's World (September 2008)" their high-energy live show is not one to be missed. The band is currently writing new music for a full-length recording.
